Sumeet Tappoo stands as a beacon of global humanitarianism, a tireless champion of the underprivileged, dedicated to leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those in dire need. As the Ambassador for the One World One Family Global Humanitarian Mission, under the wise guidance of Global Humanitarian Leader Sri Madhusudan Sai, he embodies compassion, selfless service, and unwavering commitment. He also holds the esteemed position of Chairman at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital in Fiji, where every surgery and treatment is provided at no cost, ensuring that children, regardless of their circumstances, receive the medical care they so richly deserve.
Guided by the vision of Sri Madhusudan Sai, the mission stretches across more than 80 countries, touching countless lives through a vast network of healthcare, education, and nutrition projects. These initiatives have had a profound and lasting impact on millions of marginalized individuals. Over 10 million children in school receive vital morning nutrition, more than 33,000 pediatric heart surgeries have been performed free of charge, and thousands of rural children are offered world-class, values-based education at no expense—an endeavour that includes the groundbreaking free medical college in Muddenahali, India, the first of its kind.
Under Sumeet’s distinguished leadership, the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital—South Pacific’s first state-of-the-art super-specialty pediatric cardiac hospital—was inaugurated in April 2022. The ceremony, attended by the Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi (virtually), the Prime Minister of Fiji, and the visionary humanitarian leader Sri Madhusudan Sai, marked the beginning of a new era of compassionate healthcare for the children of Fiji and the South Pacific. As of December 2024, the hospital has performed over 350 life-saving heart surgeries, all at no cost, while also conducting over 24,000 echocardiograms, ensuring that no child is left without the care they need.
Sumee also serves as the Director of the Sai Prema Foundation Fiji, a leading NGO registered under the Fiji Charitable Trusts Act. Founded with the mission of uplifting the people of Fiji, the foundation has touched the lives of thousands through its healthcare, education, nutrition, and social service initiatives. Since its inception in 2016, the foundation has served over 3.9 million meals to those in need, provided free general and specialist healthcare to more than 35,000 individuals, saved over 14,000 lives through blood collection drives, and supported over 200 children in orphanages and special-care institutions across Fiji.
Through his relentless devotion to service, Sumeet Tappoo’s efforts continue to inspire hope, compassion, and transformation across the globe, ensuring a brighter, healthier future for those who need it most.
