On Wednesday 14th March in a high profile launch function held in Mumbai, two musical legends of India, Jagjit Singh & Anup Jalota launched Sumeet Tappoo’s new album “Ram Darshan”.

The album has been released by one of India’s most prestigious music companies Times Music. One of India’s leading female playback singers, Sadhana Sargam has also sung in this album including a duet with Sumeet. The album’s music was done by Abhinav Upadhyay and lyrics by several renowned lyric writers in India.

The launch function, compered by TV star Shradha Nigam, began with Sumeet’s guru Sri Anup Jalota talking about his most senior and favourite shishya. This was followed by a moving performance by Sumeet who sang a few heart-rending Bhajans from his new album. Sumeet was accompanied by leading musicians from the Bollywood industry in Tabla, Santoor, Flute, Guitar, Violin, Keyboard and Side Rhythm.

Following this, the chief guests for the evening, Sri Jagjit Singh & Sri Anup Jalota, officially launched the album in front of a large gathering of Mumbai’s press and media personnel and invited guests, including celebrities such as Chitra Singh, Rakshanda Khan, Medha Jalota and the head of Times Music Sri Adarsh Gupta.

Sri Jagjit Singh said how delighted he was to see a young, talented and upcoming singer introducing yet another album in the market. Sri Anup Jalota said Sumeet had all the ingredients of becoming a star in the music world. As Sumeet’s guru, he said he was truly proud of Sumeet’s tremendous achievements to date. Sadhana Sargam said Sumeet has a wonderful voice and has a very bright future in the music industry.

She added that she was extremely happy to sing alongside Sumeet in the new album.The evening concluded with media interviews of the artists and celebrities. The event was coordinated by Celebrity Locker, a leading Celebrity and Event Management company of Mumbai.
