Sumeet Tappoo, the son of Mahendra Tappoo, Executive Director of Tappoo Group of Companies, is here performing – free of charge – devotional concerts in Viti Levu.
After mesmerising the world with his enchanting melodic voice, the 31-year-old artist wowed the crowd with his Bhajan Yatra at Gyatri Temple in Nadi on Saturday night.

He has been performing devotional concert since August 15.
While the audience was astonished with the performance of the son of a business tycoon, his father was least surprised.
Mr Tappoo Senior told SUNWest that Sumeet was born a singer and has been singing since he was just 4 year old.
“Music was his passion and he started young.”
“Even though he had an MBA from the University of Technology in Sydney, he still took music seriously and I’m glad that he is in the country,” said Mr Tappoo.
Sumeet is the senior most shishya also known as the disciple of Sangeet Samrat Shri Anup Jalota.
His albums include Sai Geeta, Ram Darshan with Bollywood playback singer Sadhana Sargam, and Sai Surya Samaan and Sai Charanam with his guru Anup Jalota.
Sumeet has sang along side ghazal legends such as Jagjit Singh, Talat Aziz, Pankaj Udhas.

Always fond of his home, Sumeet has always introduced himself as a son of Fiji in his programmes, world tours and concerts.

In Presenting his Bhajan Yatra, he fulfilled his desire to reach out to some of those wo may not have been able to experience the joys of live bhajan concert of this type before.
